🟢 Notion 3.0 is HERE! Everything You Need to Know

Hi everyone,

Get ready, because Notion just unveiled its biggest update of the year:

Notion 3.0! This release brings a ton of powerful new features that are set to revolutionize how you use Notion, from managing permissions to supercharging your workflows with AI.

Here’s a quick overview :

  • Granular Database Permissions:
This is a long-awaited feature that allows for much more control over who can access and edit specific items within your databases, finally enabling truly scalable Notion systems for everything from client portals to secure HR documents

  • Notion Agents (AI Workflows):
Notion's AI can now perform tasks for you across your workspace, query databases, create content, modify properties, and even browse the internet for information. Imagine an AI assistant living directly in Notion, capable of strategizing step-by-step to execute complex prompts

  • New Map View:
Visualize your data geographically! This new database view allows you to see entries on an interactive map, making it incredibly useful for planning trips, tracking locations, or exploring points of interest

  • New AI Connectors:
Notion AI can now pull information from external tools like Gmail, Box, Outlook, and Notion Mail, further enhancing its ability to summarize conversations and provide comprehensive answers across your connected apps.

  • Offline Mode:
Work on the go without an internet connection! Notion now allows you to mark pages for offline access, and for paid plans, it automatically downloads your last 20 favorites and visited pages

  • Notion AI will write your formulas
Formulas used to be their own language. Now you just describe what you want, from simple math to complex property logic, and Notion AI creates the perfect formula for you.

These updates open up incredible possibilities for building more powerful and automated systems.

Btw,

I’ve partnered with Notion to help founders get a ground start.

The 3 pillars I’d use if I had to rebuild my Notion workspace from zero.

When I first started using Notion, I did everything wrong.- Too many dashboards.- Too many databases.- Way too much “aesthetic” tweaking. If I had to start over today, I’d do it differently. Here’s exactly how: 1. Start simple. One dashboard, not five. A central page with links to everything. 2. Build for function, not looks.A clean system > a pretty system. You can always add aesthetics later. 3. Focus on 3 pillars. A task manager → keep projects and to-dos in one place. A knowledge hub →...
